By Marina Tabassum

This book, which introduces the works of the internationally acclaimed Bangladeshi architect Marina Tabassum, is her first monograph to be published on the architect in Japan. It features fourteen architectural projects by Tabassum, who responds flexibly to the challenging issues in Bangladesh, such as natural disasters, socio-economic disparities, refugees, and rapid urbanisation, and creates architecture for people. The book also includes a dialogue between Tabassum and Shigeru Ban, who both address social issues through architecture, as well as an essay by Momoyo Kaijima, an architect of the same generation and a personal friend of Tabassum.
