Moreau Kusunoki. Fragments

Fragments traces the discourse of the Franco-Japanese architecture firm Moreau Kusunoki, revealing its approach to architecture that navigates between scales, materials, and contexts. In five conversations, Nicolas Moreau and Hiroko Kusunoki reflect on their architectural and conceptual practice, exploring the evolution of ideas, memories, and images that underlie the firm’s work. Illustrated with archival material and significant projects such as the Guggenheim Helsinki, the Powerhouse Parramatta, and the renovation of the Centre Pompidou, these dialogues examine the tensions between precision and intuition, the tangible and the ephemeral, the individual and the collective, offering insights into design processes and intellectual endeavors. With texts by Nicolas Moreau, Hiroko Kusunoki, Georgi Belyanov, and Angelica Giannoulatou.
